AllOne Foundation & Charities shared in the celebration as WVIA received five Excellence in Broadcasting Awards from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters on April 10th. AllOne Charities, along with the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, was an instrumental funding partner in the development of Aging Together in PA which earned the Excellence in Broadcasting Award for Outstanding Television Public Service Announcement/Campaign.
WVIA, the PBS and NPR affiliate serving over 22 counties in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania, developed Aging Together in PA, a year-long initiative to support older adults and caregivers through education, programming, and community engagement. The initiative includes Town Hall and panel discussions as well as a series of short documentaries which highlight the many needs of our local aging population.
