The staff of AllOne Foundation & Charities recently visited Sojourner Truth Ministries (STM) in Williamsport. STM serves lunch daily, with more than 28,000 meals provided in 2023 alone. Their “open pantry” distributes produce and other perishables 2-3 times a week, and Saturday dinners offer both nourishment and a space for conversation. Beyond providing food, STM supports patrons holistically by hosting weekly speakers, facilitating socialization, organizing holiday parties with group activities, and offering simple service projects, among other initiatives. Additionally, STM runs an after-school program for at-risk elementary school children, which includes a nutritious meal. This year, AllOne Charities granted $20,000 to support training for four key staff members and volunteers. The training will cover CPR and first aid, trauma-informed care, conflict resolution strategies, and a strength-based approach to working with individuals.
