Listen4Good is a Fund for Shared Insight initiative to help service organizations build sustainable, high quality, client focused programs. Organizations are given the resources via a 5-step proven survey to listen and respond to those whose voices are least heard. 

Volunteers in Medicine participated in Listen4Good and the greatest detriment to the care of their clientele was language barriers.  VIM presented the case of what they learned and requested support from AllOne Charities to assist with providing a translation program for their non-English speaking patients.  The data VIM collected underscored the significant communication hurdles when Doctors are trying to relay medical information to their patients. The LanguageLine brings a live translator into the situation through an ipad or laptop to translate between Doctor and patient.  This service assures the Doctor that his patient is receiving the needed medical advice and information for their health and wellbeing.
