For more than 15 years, Penn-Kidder Ministerium After-School Program/PKMASP-Kidz Zone has provided a safe, supervised environment for children attending Jim Thorpe Area School District elementary schools in Carbon County. Since opening in 2010, the program has served more than 175 children from over 130 families, offering homework assistance, mentoring, socialization opportunities, and recreational activities in addition to before and after-school care.

This year, AllOne Charities awarded a $2,500 grant to PKMASP-Kidz Zone to support its After-School Nutritious Snack Program, helping ensure children have access to healthy snacks during before and after-school care. With this support, children are provided with fresh fruits and vegetables alongside other nutritious options.

The grant comes at a critical time as PKMASP-Kidz Zone experiences increased enrollment and a greater demand for its services while the cost for fresh fruits and vegetables continue to climb. AllOne Charities is proud to help PKMASP-Kidz Zone continue to offer nutritious foods that promote healthy eating habits and support child wellness.
