On September 9, more than 200 community leaders, business partners, and residents gathered at Mount Airy Casino Resort for the 23rd Annual Pocono Mountains Community Fundraiser. Centered around the theme, “Hope Starts Here,” the event united the community in support of four nonprofit organizations addressing critical needs and enhancing quality of life throughout Monroe County.
Since its inception in 2004, the fundraiser has demonstrated the power of collaboration in strengthening local communities. Originally established and led by Sanofi Pasteur, it has grown into a regional effort supported by a dedicated team of sponsors, volunteers, and community champions committed to helping Monroe County residents thrive.
$105,000 was awarded to this year’s nonprofit recipients: Pocono Area Transitional Housing, Monroe County Public Library, Development Education Services of Monrose County, and Pennsylvania Elks Major Projects.
