AllOne Foundation recently granted $82,500 to Luzerne County Community College for the purchase and use of a healthcare simulation mannequin. Simulating realistic human responses such as breathing, heartbeat, and even complex conditions like respiratory distress, the mannequin aids LCCC in best preparing their students across various health care professions for real-world healthcare situations.
The goal of simulation-based interprofessional education (Sim-IPE) at LCCC is to improve student learning, patient experiences, and outcomes. It also advances the interprofessional competencies of graduates, preparing them to adeptly participate on interprofessional health care teams.
AllOne Foundation is proud to partner with LCCC to strengthen a Health Sciences program that is developing practice-ready, highly competent healthcare workers in our communities.
