In 2019, AllOne Foundation invested more than $1 million in Luzerne County Community College (LCCC) to establish the AllOne Recovery Educational Institute (AREI). Yesterday, AllOne Foundation & Charities CEO John W. Cosgrove and Chief Program Officer Mary Carroll Donahoe returned to LCCC to celebrate the institute’s growth and achievements as part of National Collegiate Recovery Week.
Since AREI’s launch, Luzerne County Council has committed an additional $500,000 in opioid‑settlement funding to strengthen the program. With this support, along with the program’s demonstrated success and expanded partnerships, AREI enrollment has nearly doubled in less than a year. LCCC has also expanded its offerings to include Certified Recovery Specialist Training, which includes AREI students.
During the celebration, LCCC President John Yudichak noted that “few regional partnerships have uplifted more individual lives and impacted the community in a more positive way.”
