Group standing with $100,000 check in playground

Staff from AllOne Foundation and Charities recently visited the newly rebuilt inclusive playground at Blue Ridge Elementary School in Susquehanna County. The 30-year-old playground needed updating and was becoming a safety concern. Through its Collaborative Philanthropy Fund, AllOne Charities  matched a grant from the Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains, collectively awarding $130,000 to the project.

Serving children ages 4–8, including those in special education programs, the redesigned playground features updated equipment that is ADA-compliant and thoughtfully designed to encourage sensory engagement and exploration. Blue Ridge Elementary School now offers a more inclusive play environment that supports the physical, social, and emotional development of all students.

An additional $25,000 grant from AllOne Charities is serving the older population of children at Blue Ridge School District.  Through a strategic partnership with Integrative Counseling Services, the District is  increasing on-site counseling capacity, supervising interns preparing for mental health credentials, and building a sustainable pipeline of future providers. This initiative will expand counseling availability for children aged 11-18, reduce delays in care, and ensure that Blue Ridge students receive timely, high-quality mental health support.

Pictured below, the project also includes a dedicated space for telehealth. Beyond student use, the room has evolved into a vital space where community members can hold appointments, addressing a previously unmet local need.
