AllOne Charities awarded Bucktail Medical Center $23,000 towards the purchase of a CT Scanner. Bucktail Medical Center is a Critical Access Hospital serving the communities in north central Pennsylvania. Critical Access Hospital (CAH) is a designation given to eligible rural hospitals by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for improving access to healthcare by keeping essential services in rural communities. CT imaging has become the standard of care. Head and abdominal trauma, internal bleeding, cardiac issues, appendicitis, some fractures, and many other conditions have shown similar successes when CT imaging is used as an early diagnostic tool. With generous support from AllOne Charities, this life saving technology is coming to western Clinton County.
