AllOne Charities staff members recently visited Elk Lake Community Park where renovation work on an ADA-compliant pavilion and inclusive playground has begun. The AllOne Charities Collaborative Philanthropy Fund, in partnership with the Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains, awarded $300,000 to this effort.
The Elk Lake Community Park facility is a community hub which includes an indoor swimming pool, outdoor track, baseball and soccer fields, and a frisbee course. It serves the rural Elk Lake School District, where it is located, as well as the greater community. Everyone, regardless of their connection with the school, is welcome to participate in a variety of recreational and educational opportunities at the Park. Renovations to the pavilion and playground will improve accessibility and enhance the enjoyment of the Park for the entire community.
