The NEPA Workforce Funder Collaborative, officially launched on March 3, is a regional initiative designed to strengthen the connection between education, workforce development, and industry partners. By aligning these sectors around shared career pathways, the collaborative aims to ensure that funding and resources are distributed strategically and equitably across Lackawanna, Luzerne, Wayne, Carbon, and Monroe counties.
Bringing together a diverse group of philanthropic and community-focused organizations, the collaborative includes AllOne Foundation & Charities, the Carbon County Community Foundation; the Community Foundation of Monroe County, Geisinger Health Foundation. the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation; Hawk Family Foundation; JobsFirstNYC; the Luzerne Foundation. Moses Taylor Foundation; the NEPA Health Care Foundation; Scranton Area Community Foundation; and Wayne County Community Foundation. Together, these partners are working to foster a more coordinated, inclusive approach to workforce and economic development across the region.
