The University of Scranton campus opened the Autism Collaborative Centers of Excellence Executive Hub on Thursday, April 4, 2019.  The first of five hubs to open as part of a $7 million effort to make life better for people with autism spectrum disorders. The five centers of excellence hubs are Misericordia University, Friendship House, Wyoming Valley Children’s Association, Geisinger Autism and Developmental Medicine Institute and the University of Scranton.  The initiative is a massive push across the 13-county coverage area to better care for people with autism and fix gaps in service.

The University of Scranton also unveiled a new 18-credit, postgraduate applied behavior analysis certificate program to prepare students who already have master’s degrees in health and education fields.
