With the support of a $25,000 grant from AllOne Charities, River Valley Health has advanced its mission to enhance the quality of life for the underinsured population in the Williamsport area. The grant funded the purchase and implementation of continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) for uninsured and underinsured patients with diabetes. These monitors provide real-time updates on blood sugar levels, which can be easily shared with clinicians, enabling personalized treatment plans. The use of CGMs has been transformative for many patients, leading to significant reductions in A1C levels and improved overall health outcomes.
