AllOne Foundation awarded Turn To Us a $50,000 grant to open the Spectrum Sensory Gym in Nesquehoning for children diagnosed with autism. Ninety percent of children diagnosed with autism also experience disordered sensory processing. This gym will expand the necessary skills learned in occupational therapy. Funds were also used for the Autism Support program providing financial assistance, emotional support, and social and physical activities for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Sensory Processing Disorder and their families. The program assists families with medical need expenses, utility assistance, food insecurity, and gas gift cards for medical and therapy appointments.
